Daimler and Tesla will work together again – we are know at May 2009, Tesla Motors and Daimler declare to the world that they will work together on electric cars. Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla said the German car manufacturer should get an award for saving Tesla. But the results have not been seen for Daimler.
Indeed, in some ways Daimler and Tesla already share in the executive level, the Smart Fortwo ED is using Tesla battery and B-Class EV are under development. But that’s not the point, now according to Reuters and Autoblog, Daimler wanted more.
This information comes from Bodo Uebber, Daimler Chief Financial Officer, “I’ve already told my colleagues to go back to Tesla and look for another opportunity (to work together). We’re looking for more opportunities.”
Uebber not specifically discuss what products or items that may have resulted from the cooperation of both.
Tracing back to history, there is the possibility Musk give help to his old friend. Last year, he said it had realized Daimler will invest the funds in Tesla.
“When someone is hungry and give a little food to you, you should be grateful for that.”Daimler now has a 4.3 percent stake in Tesla.
