Vehicles in United States required to have rear camera – The United States government released new rules that all vehicles are required to have arear camera. This regulation itself should be done by middle 2018.

The rear camera is intended to prevent pedestrians involved in an accident when the car is running backwards. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the U.S. highway safety agency, this rule will apply to vehicles under 4,500 kg.
“Requirements rear cameras will save lives, and will save many families from the grief suffered after a tragic incident occurred,” said NHTSA Acting Administrator David Friedman, as reported by Inautonews.
According to data from NHTSA each year there are 58-69 of lives that will be saved when the rear camera feature embedded in the vehicle. The data also show there every year 15 thousand people were injured and 210 victims died from an accident when the car is running backwards.
Even more sadness, 50 percent of the number of casualties came from children aged five years and below, which is not visible to the driver while the car is running backwards. By pinning the rear camera, the driver can at least see the conditions behind the car until three to six feet. To pair the rear camera at vehicles, will cost between USD132 to USD 142.
