The announcement about the entry-level Porsche sports car this is not yet officially made??, but one of the French automotive media believes that this cheap car will be named Porsche 718. Identity is taken as the iconic Porsche racing cars made between 1957 and 1962.
After read from Inautonews, in order to obtain an affordable price, the Porsche 718 will adopt the same platform as the Porsche Roadster, just the weight of the car body will fall. Reportedly, this sport car will get a unit that produces engine performance is quite powerful.
Porsche 718 will be equipped with four-cylinder inline engine with a 2.0 liter which can generate power up to 286 horsepower. If that’s not powerful enough, this Porsche car model will also come with a 2.5 liter engine capacity with capable of generating power up to 360 horsepower.
The Porsche 718 will reportedly make its debut in 2016, and would be a model 2017. For fuller details of these models will be announced by the automotive company as it neared its debut to the public.
